DSK Benelli finally launched its most awaited Tornado 302R. The bike was seen in 2016 at Auto-Expo. It took DSK Benelli 18 months to launch their fully-faired entry level motorcycle. Benelli Tornado 302R will have to face tough competition with the rivals who are already ruling this segment Kawasaki Ninja 300 and Yamaha YZF R3.
DESIGN
In terms of design Tornado 302R looks decent and not much aggressive it won't attract much eyes because of its looks, the reason it will catch eyes because of its size.
The bike looks bigger as compared to its competitiors. Benelli could have worked more better if they intended to make a product stand against Kawasaki Ninja 300 and Yamah YZF R3. The Tornado 302R could have been more better in terms of styling and design.
ENGINE
The engine on the Benelli Tornado 302R has the same engine that we have seen on its naked sibling TNT 300, however the power of Tornado 302R is bumped a bit which not a major improvement over the engine.
DSK Benelli Tornado 302R is powered by 300cc inline twin cylinder liquid cooled engine which produces 38.26 bhp of power at 11,500 rpm and 26.50 nm of torque at 10,000 rpm which sounds difficult for the Tornado 302R to give neck to neck fight to its competitors. Tornado 302R gets a 6-speed gear transmission ratio to provide better power output. The DSK Benelli Tornado 302R can reach 0-100 kmph in 8.3 sec and can reach up to top-speed of 154 kmph.
DIMENSION
The overall length of the DSK Benelli Tornado 302R is 2157 mm, however the width and the height of the Tornad 302R is 746 mm and 1146 mm respectively.
The wheelbase of the fully-faired bike is 1410 mm and the seat height of Tornado 302R is 780 mm while the Ground clearance of the Tronado 302R is 150 mm which is 10 mm less than its naked sibling TNT 300 because of its fully-faired body. The bike has 198 kg of kerb weight which is actually heavy against its competitors. The Benelli Tornado 302R has the fuel capacity of 14-litres.
BRAKES & SUSPENSION
FRONT: The DSK Benelli Tornado 302R has 260 mm of double floating discs with 4 piston callipers and has a 41 mm of upside down forks.
REAR: The bike 240 mm of single disc with floating calliper single piston and has a rear swingarm with central shock absorber.
FEATURES
DSK Benelli Tornado 302R offers twin disc barkes and ABS standard. The bike also offers clip-on handlebars. The bike offers a body posture which is quite comfortable for long rides without any difficulties as far as possible which makes it a Sport-Tourer. The bike has a exhaust with catalytic exhaust with oxygen sensors which makes the bike sound quite impressive. It also offers complete digital instrument cluster. COLOURS & PRICING
The DSK Benelli Tornado 302R is available three different colours: Red Nero, White Rosso and Silver Verde. The Italain motorcycle is launched at Rs.3.48 Lakhs (Ex-showroom Mumbai).
COMPETITORS
The DSK Benelli Tornado 302R will compete in 300cc segment against Kawasaki Ninja 300, Yamaha YZF R3 and other 300cc segment bikes.
