A very famous Indian two-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto officially launched its much awaited Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 in India. The launch event was held in Mumbai on 30th June 2017. In terms of looks Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 is extremely similar to its elder brother Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 so nothing more is required to say in terms of looks. The instrument cluster of the Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 which is part-analogue-part-digital console.
ENGINE
The Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 is powered by 160.3cc displacement engine which is derived from the Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTSi and produces more power and torque than the Pulsar 150 DTSi. The 160.3cc displacement engine produces 15.5hp of power at 8,500 rpm and 14.6Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The power and torque of Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 is obviously more than the Pulsar 150, but the power of Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 is 1.5hp less than the air-cooled Pulsar AS 150 while the torque is 1.6Nm more. The Bajaj manufacture haven't disclosed about the gearbox but we assume that it will have 5-speed gearbox.
CHASIS&SUSPENSION
All new Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 has got the steel perimeter frame same like its elder brother NS 200. However the swingarm is leaner than the NS 200. It has got the telescopic with anti-friction bush forks at front and nitox mono shock suspension with canister setup at back for comfortable ride. The kerb weight of Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 is 10kg lighter than its elder brother NS 200 which results in 142kg of kerb weight. The fuel tank capacity of Bajaj pulsar NS 160 is 12 litre, the wheelbase of the Pulsar NS 160 is similar to the Pulsar NS 200 which is 1,363mm. The dimesions and almost everything is extremely similar to NS 200.
WHEELS&BRAKES
The all new Bajaj NS 160 stands on a 17 inch of wheel at front as well as at rear and are shod with an 80/100 at front tyre and a 110/80 rear tyre. It gets 240mm of disc brake at front while the rear comes with 130mm of drum disc brakes. It is not confirmed that Bajaj will launch twin-disc brake variant of the bike.
COMPETITORS
The aggressive street fighter will stand against very tough competitors of this segment. Suzuki Gixxer, Yamaha FZ-S FI and with king of the segment Honda Hornet CB 160R.

The all new Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 is launched at a price RS.80,648 (Ex-showroom Mumbai) the price mentioned is including GST which will come into effect from 1st July 2017.
